CSX (CSXT or CSX Transportation) is a current operating railway company east of the Mississippi River. Out of Jacksonville, Fla., CSX operates most of the east coast, while its two other competetors are the Canadian Pacific Railway and Norfolk Southern. Mergers of the company were: The Chessie System Inc., the Seaboard System railroad, a few others, and Conrail. CSX runs many odd freight options, from fruit trains to trash trains.
